Lookey what I found today...

So while working a new set for the kids Mike points out that the Banana Trees I thought were surely dead for good just a few months ago... had a bloom!  I have never seen one bloom before.  This does go along with the fact that a pair of ducks flying south made our pool home for a few days and we still have an un-hatched egg in a nest left behind my a dove in the pool house rafters.  I guess we are making a home for all sorts of God's little creatures! 
Maybe we can get Michael and Dan of Monji to gives us the 411 on this blooming thing... I mean do I let it bloom, trim it off, what is the thing to do?  (this is why I'm a photographer and not a botanist or arborist!)

Trailer Trash Bash 2008

Last year was pirates... this year Trailer Trash Bash!  Every once in awhile you have to take a break from work and the inky-dinky-do studio and just have some fun with friends!  Since all my friends know what happens at Chateau Deveau gets blogged you will notice that with the exception of early on and during the "sculpting competition" that camera was tucked away!  See you guys are safe!  To those that avoided the camera this year don't worry we will stalk you next year!

I love that my hubby shaved stripes in is hair for the night!  Yes, that is a bathtub full of drinks!

Candice & Chris came over from the beach to have some fun!  Tracey & Vaun were cute and who knew he had such dip making skills!

My friends really do go all out to look the part!

As you may know I have grown to love the little Bambini Carini shop downtown.  Stacey, the owner, has been just a wonderful person.  They donated a bunch of beautiful layettes for our NILMDTS sessions even.  So it is with a mixed heart that I post that Bambini Carini will be closing.  It saddens me because it is such a great place and a wonderful family.  I do honor her integrity to not compromise on quality of product or service to her clients.  At the same time I feel great joy for Stacy as she will now have more time with her beautiful kids.  She started the store as a service to all those Mom's looking for great stuff, and I understand how sometimes these things can just take over and you wake up one day with lots of work and little time for those most important to you.  What does this all mean... it means a killer deal for all of you!  Stacey mentioned she is discounting everything 30-70% off!  Furniture, clothing.. you name it.  I wouldn't wait though- drop what you are doing and go get that shower gift you might need or that adorable crib before they are all gone!  Tell her HI for us!
