Lacey had some fun with us underwater this last Surfs Up promotion that we did. She is a wild and crazy kid willing to brave just about any tourture I came up with to get the shot! I love kids like that! Lacey is an accomplished dancer so of course we had to start in the dancing outfit and then into what has to be a 30 lb skirt underwater. Thanks for all the fun Lacey and doing so well and "sinking" a floating glass globe. (hey that is much harder than you people think!)
We couldn't help but share some images with Rachel and her crazy fun boyfriend! Rachel is a fabulous hair stylist at Paragon here in town and is responsible for making sure I once in a while do more than a pony tail!
So Rachel and her son Mason (who has grown so much since I first did him as a rolly polly baby!) hit the beach and this time we got to have some fun with her boyfriend and his son as well. It was fun and pretty light hearted.
Then I made them change... sure we got some nice stuff, but it is far more fun to share "the moment". You know the one, where you are shooting and they look fabulous and passionate and then... one little misstep... and splash! Yes, they did. Right into the water! The best part is though that this handsome guy knew how to make the most of it. So while most people would flop out of the surf looking like a cat that went thru the washing machine... this couple instead decided to make the most of it! Don't worry the boys were so embarassed by their parents by now they are way down the beach!
So see boys, sometimes it is what you make of the mistake that makes all the difference. (come on I know all the ladies are thinking he can drop me in the ocean anytime right now!)
We couldn't resist! This is Kristen and I've photographed her since she was about 6. She has changed a lot over the years and I just thought I would share the latest shoot. We started calling her the Winter Witch!
We couldn't resist not sharing at least 1 little fairy so we chose Leila. She is just the yummiest little thing and many many years ago we did her aunt as a little fairy. (hmmm that might make me sound old!)
Isn't she just yummy! If I get the chance I'll add some more later. The fairy special is over, but we can do a fairy session any time with the fairyland and elaborate costume provided. Just give Angela a call at the inky-dinky-do boutique for details. 661-588-1984.
The Kniffen's were loads of fun. I've done the girls for years now and I swear they just get cuter and cuter!
OK so we are feeling kind of groovy around here and inspired by all our super cool brides recently so... we are doing something completely crazy! I love what I do and every once in awhile I get some crazy idea and think why not.... so why not give away a wedding!

What are we looking for: -To win you pretty much need to meet one of the following criteria...
• Wow us with just a wonderful story of the two of you and why you should have free wedding pictures
• Hit us with a crazy off the hook wedding that simply nobody else could possibly photograph and do justice
• Be so creative in your presentation that we couldn't not choose you if we tried!
- Be sure to tell us where, when and about the wedding you have planned and how it will be special to you!
Who qualifies:
• A couple marrying in 2009 in the greater Bakersfield area -or- willing to cover travel if out of the area.
(I must already be available for your date -sorry can't bump a bride it is bad form!)
• The couple understand they and their story will appear on the blog and everyone will get to hear about your special plans and day.
• Can multiple people nominate us? Sure if you want to flood us with emails from everyone who thinks you are the bomb- great- just make sure that something about you stands out.
• you can't have another professional photographer that day- well come on guys that would just be rude to the other guy!
The winner will receive: 5 hours wedding day coverage & DVD of images from inky-dinky-do at no cost- Nada, zip, zilch... not even a tip baby!
The specifics: -SEND IN ENTRIES TO info@inky-dinky-do.com NO LATER THAN midnight November 20, 2008 -The top three entries will be posted on this blog on Thanksgiving & the winner will be chosen by myself and my team of local judges and announced on Christmas Day at noon! Now I call that a present!!
