Yes, it is THAT time! We are full force holidays! I love the holidays... and about this time also want them to be further away than they are. It is a little catch 22. We are going to try and post on our fan page each day the pick up times. I'm working on doing something on here, the website, the fan page, somewhere who has orders ready for those pick up times. There just aren't enough hours in the day (or at least respectable hours!) to call everyone and let them know they have fabulous orders ready! Let me see what I can do and I'll get back to you all on that idea.
For now... a little holiday treat... this is Dylan and Chase- super fun and crazy kids that participated in our White Christmas Special.

We are so excited about the holidays this year! We have some super duper cool sets we are working on! We are going to give you a little sneak peek at the first two specials coming up!
Special Packages! We asked and you spoke up! We love our clients that tell us what they want this year! So this year we have a couple packages available that will include the session fee and a few different options all at one low price. Yes, this is the bargain for the season, but we will have limited sessions available. Packages will be released on Monday when we accept bookings. I'll be sure to post them on here.
This is the Come All Ye Faithful Set shot this morning with the fabulous Miss Leila and Kaiya to model for me. They are wearing studio gowns which can be available for your session as well. This one is perfect for cards, Grandmother's gifts and those embracing the reason for the season! My mom actually inspired this set. Bring your family bible or use some of our antique bibles to finish off the look.
Fall Families- We love updating the families and this year is no exception. So no matter what the style- refined, casual, relaxed or quirky we have you covered. We are encouraging our families to send us a snap shot of the outfits you will be wearing and we will select the best set for you. We have been so busy adding sets I think we have something for everyone! You can make it "holiday" or keep it neutral like these families so it works on your wall year round and we will add the "holiday" to the cards- the best of both worlds!
Sets featured: The dock, The stairs and our antique vintage doors.

So what is MS anyway?
Multiple sclerosis is a chronic, unpredictable disease of the central nervous system (the brain, optic nerves, and spinal cord). It is thought to be an autoimmune disorder. This means the immune system incorrectly attacks the person's healthy tissue. MS can cause blurred vision, loss of balance, poor coordination, slurred speech, tremors, numbness, extreme fatigue, problems with memory and concentration, paralysis, and blindness and more. These problems may be permanent or may come and go.
Can MS be cured?
Not yet. There are now FDA-approved medications that have been shown to "modify" or slow down the underlying course of MS. In addition, many therapeutic and technological advances are helping people manage symptoms. Advances in treating and understanding MS are made every year, and progress in research to find a cure is very encouraging

This one is always a favorite! Game On- this is our super cool sports session for babies sitting up thru college. Show your pride with your favorite team jersey or if you are an athlete show us what you got! Perfect with our lockers- football, baseball, volleyball swimmers, you name it this is the time to show it.
October 6th- $50 Session Fee. Limited availability. Call 661-588-1984 to book.
Babies: Wear Dad or Mom's favorite team jersey or colors. Bring something to show that pride!
Kids: Great for wearing their uniforms, don't forget the ball or equipment.
Teens: Let's get serious- uniform, gear, and attitude. You don't have to be "cute" scream it out like our soccer player and don't forget- athletes aren't always pristine so feel free to come grubby after practice and show the real player!
Swimmers: I know you aren't used to dry land, but still bring that gear. We can play and weather permitting we can drop into the pool for something.
**Want something out on the field or court- no problem give us a call and we can discuss the perfect session for you. Lots of our Gen Yers love some action shots**

We are gearing up for our MS walk in October and team inky-dinky-do has decided to kick it off by doing something crazy!
One September 16th we will be doing mini sessions not for a session fee, but for a $30 donation to the MS Society! I know major bargain and it goes to charity!
This is perfect for kids, teens, adults, that headshot that you need for your facebook or dating site! We designed a special background for our Team inky-dinky-do and we will be using that for all the images. It is fun, sassy and yet can feel contemporary and sophisticated. Pretty snazzy huh?
Sessions take only 20 minutes so come dressed and ready to impress! Call to book your session. 661-588-1984
September 16th
$30 donation for a mini session!
Question: what should I wear with that? easy- white shirts will look fabulous, you could go for some bold bright colors if you like. I can see white shirt, fabulous jewelry for the ladies, cool T-shirt for teen guys, a polo in white or a fun color for little boys and of course little girls can wear almost anything! Denim, white, creams, bold bright orange or green could be fun!
Question: Can I do 4 kids together? Not really for this one guys! One person, might be able to put two together, but think of this one as a solo session!
Question: Can I do a newborn? Nope sorry guys we need kids either sitting up or Mom or Dad will have to be holding them in the picture. :) It is a timing thing, we need lots of time for those newborns and this isn't really set up for that.
Question: How do I book? Easy Peasy- just give us a call 661-588-1984. If you get the machine you can leave your name and number the day and time that you prefer and we will call you back to schedule.
FELLOW PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHERS
You can order the background shown for a $100 donation to our team inky-dinky-do MS team. Get details on the inky-dinky-do Drops blog.
What is the perfect gift for a Mom? Pictures of her kids of course! So what do you do when your kids are grown- you take photos with your whole family!
The whole group on the dock at the studio.
Kim, Junior, Jordan & Ryan - this is the same Miss Kim some of you know from our Weddings. See she does have a family and isn't always running after me!
Corey with Aiden & Gavin
Julie & David were recently married and were sweet enough to take a quick portrait together.
So Grandma now has a nice new wall portrait of the kids and we caught a couple quick portraits of the individual groupings as well. Everybody is happy!

Reduce- we have cut back on some paper where we can.
ReUse- we are happy to report that we are able to re-use 90% of our boxes and packaging materials.
ReCycle- we are taking any left over cardboard, glass, plastic and cans to the recycling bins on the corner of Jewetta and Meacham.
The cost to our studio.... $0. The benefit to the environment = priceless.
Thanks Madison for showing us it isn't that hard to embrace a greener way of life. Thanks to our clients for participating in our efforts!
Madison showing off the simple solution of great labels for our already existing wonderful boxes. That little solution cut down our cardboard consumption greatly!
