I'm happy to say I'm back from Florida where I had a great time speaking at the SYNC conference.  I hope I was able to inspire some fabulous photographers!

We know the wedding show is this weekend.  With all the travel we decided not to do the show this year, we are however releasing the 2009 pricing guide for our brides.  We decided to keep it simple and make sure it is an affordable luxury for our brides.  You make up your own collection with only what you want.  We know that now more than ever brides love having those negs so we have gone to a system that allows for time+negs.  Have a peek and Angela or Kim will be happy to answer any questions!

** Since a couple people have asked- the pricing does include Stephanie, a second trained photographer and assistant and all the finished images on a DVD.  The same quality you have grown accustomed to don't worry guys!  You can print large prints not just small email ones.  **

Free Wedding anyone?

OK so we are feeling kind of groovy around here and inspired by all our super cool brides recently so... we are doing something completely crazy!  I love what I do and every once in awhile I get some crazy idea and think why not.... so why not give away a wedding!

So here's the deal: Email us a story of a couple who really deserves free photography for their wedding. You can even send us your own story!
You MUST attach a photo of the happy couple that is about 800px on the longest side to the email. (or a link to on online photo in your gallery is fine.  Send the email to info@inky-dinky-do.com and put GOING FOR BLISS on the subject line

What are we looking for: -To win you pretty much need to meet one of the following criteria...
• Wow us with just a wonderful story of the two of you and why you should have free wedding pictures
•  Hit us with a crazy off the hook wedding that simply nobody else could possibly photograph and do justice
• Be so creative in your presentation that we couldn't not choose you if we tried!
- Be sure to tell us where, when and about the wedding you have planned and how it will be special to you!

Who qualifies: 
•  A couple marrying in 2009 in the greater Bakersfield area -or- willing to cover travel if out of the area.
(I must already be available for your date -sorry can't bump a bride it is bad form!)
• The couple understand they and their story will appear on the blog and everyone will get to hear about your special plans and day.   
•  Can multiple people nominate us?  Sure if you want to flood us with emails from everyone who thinks you are the bomb- great- just make sure that something about you stands out.
• you can't have another professional photographer that day- well come on guys that would just be rude to the other guy!

The winner will receive:  5 hours wedding day coverage &  DVD of images from inky-dinky-do at no cost- Nada, zip, zilch... not even a tip baby!

Candice & Chris almost Wedding Day!

Wow this year has flown by and it is already time for the wedding!  Chris & Candice you might recognize from our Trailer Trash Bash... although they look a lot more presentable here!  We had a great time shooting at the beach, eating dinner, drinking coffee together... an all around good day.  So we thought we would share a few images.  The wedding is this Saturday- hard to believe and we can't wait.  This will be one of the hardest weddings we will ever do.... because my family are guests!  My Mother is Candice's Godmother and Candice's Mom is my Godmother.  So I will be trying hard to get my own family to follow directions!  That's OK I can just threaten to make them look bad if they don't listen.  :)

Victoria & Nader a quick peek

Wow!  What a crazy fun day we had.  Saturday we got to meet Victoria's beautiful family. So sweet and Victoria has a the cutest little niece ever!  So we played a little near the ocean and took some photos then off to get ready for the wedding on Sunday.   So I haven't even seen everything yet.... just a few images to share from the wedding day for now.  I'm getting ready to fly out to TX to teach in the wee hours so no time to play, but I can't not share anything!

Nader had this beautiful carved box since he was 6 years old and I simply love Vicotria's ring- so delicate and feminine.

Victoria is just full of joy and quiet frankly a stunning bride.

Nader is usually all business... but just talking about Victoria can bring a smile to his face. 

This is their pose... you know the one they just hit  and you can tell it is what they do when things are quiet and it is just the two of them.

So I hope you guys have a fabulous honeymoon and I'll share more when I come back from Texas!

I'm excited to be photographing the wedding of Victoria & Nadar this weekend.  I can't wait.  Victoria has a great sense of style and we share a love of Café Med, so what isn't to love!

Angela won the tickets/ vacation/ meet & greet with backstage passes to John Mayer.  For those that don't know Angela wins everything!  So don't fell sorry for her "working" she is having a grand time while the rest of us enjoy the wedding!

Angela will be back in the Boutique on Tuesday and I will be on a plane heading to Texas for the workshop I'm doing at the CFPA.  I hope those photographers ate their Power Energy Bars cause I have a busy day planned for them full of information and inspiration!

Plan B has some fun with Brooke & Fernando

Jen & Kim got to play this afternoon with Brooke & Fernando.  They have a wedding planned for May 17th at the Guild House.  They had a great time with this fun loving couple.  I only regret I didn't get to come play!  They left me behind to pack the gear for the inky-dinky-do wedding on Saturday of Erin & Scott.  It is a good thing that I had something to do too!

Congratulations to a fromer groom...Seamus Dever

We just had to share great news....
Seamus Dever one of our former grooms, and all around handsome & nice guy, landed the roll of Dr. Ian Devlin on General Hospital.  We know ladies he is dreamy, but don't waste your time... his wife Julie is stunning, sweet and a nice person even!  I know it hardly seems fair, but she is.  We had such a great time with them at their wedding last year.  They had a touching ceremony complete with flower girls....errr flower dogs..... bearing floral wreaths.  Too sweet.   Some of you may recognize Seamus from some rolls on CSI, Without a Trace, NCIS, Hollywoodland,  and some theater & Indie films.  We like to joke that he is usually the last guy to have sex with the lady that is now dead <insert sinister and suspicious music here>.
